Our Story

Founded in 2018, lucid-saga emerged from a simple observation: too many individuals and families struggle with money not because they lack intelligence, but because financial education remains absent from most school curricula and workplace training.

What began as weekend workshops in a community centre has grown into a comprehensive educational programme serving hundreds of participants annually. Our founders combined backgrounds in education and financial services to create courses that bridge theoretical knowledge with everyday application.

Today, we operate from our dedicated training facility in Newcastle city centre, offering programmes for adults learning to manage household budgets, young people preparing for financial independence, and professionals seeking to strengthen their understanding of personal investment.

Our Values

These principles guide every course we design and every interaction with participants

Accessibility

Financial knowledge should be available to everyone regardless of background, current income, or prior experience. We use clear language and relatable examples.

Practicality

Theory matters less than application. Every session includes exercises participants can implement immediately in their own financial situations.

Respect

We meet people where they are without judgement. Whether someone carries debt or has never saved a penny, they receive the same quality of instruction.

Transparency

We explain our reasoning, acknowledge the limitations of our guidance, and encourage participants to seek professional advice for complex situations.

Our Teaching Approach

Learning about money can feel intimidating. Many adults carry shame about past financial mistakes or gaps in their knowledge. Our approach addresses this directly by creating supportive, non-competitive learning environments.

  • Small class sizes of 8-12 participants maximum
  • Anonymous question submission for sensitive topics
  • Real-world case studies from UK financial contexts
  • Take-home workbooks with tracking templates
  • Six months of email support after completion

We measure success not by test scores but by behavioural changes: participants who create their first budget, open a savings account, or have their first family conversation about money goals.
